3D VisualsVisualisations can bring a masterplan to life and really help clients to envisage what their project will ultimately look like.
Design Brief
A comprehensive design brief is an invaluable stage to start the design process. Hugh always takes a detailed brief from his clients, involving questions relating to garden use, likes dislikes, to planning information, to number of children / grandchildren and pets in order to build up a detailed idea of an individual client's needs prior to commencing the design brief. This is always typed and returned for approval, offering the opportunity to amend the brief in the cold light of day.
Site Survey
Frequently involving a number of site visit, the site survey stage of the design is vital to the success of a project as it allows confidence in the feasibility of any design. Hugh uses a range of equipment to take accurate and precise measurements of dimensions and level changes in order to build up a picture of the site prior to putting pen to paper.
CAD Package Plotting
Once all the measurements have been taken, Hugh plots these up into the Vectorworks design package. This package allows for millimetre precision with the idea being the more precise you can plot the measurements, the less likely it is that any errors will be magnified in the finished design. It also allows for easy amendments and changes to be incorporated, and also allows for planting plans and other design additions
Concept Design
Garden lighting is an often under-considered aspect to a garden that can hugely enhance clients' use of their outdoor space at all times of year. With an effectively designed lighting scheme, your garden will no longer be somewhere that only looks attractive and welcoming during the daytime when you are outside and within it - it can look good at night and at all times of year, and also from the comfort of indoors! Hugh and his team can design and then supply and install a lighting scheme to suit any scale and budget.
