A low maintenance Oriental Garden with central sculptural Corten steel fire pit / focal point.

The brief was to design a low maintenance oriental themed garden for this new build property in Billingshurst, West Sussex. When we arrived, the site was a blank canvas, with just a lawn and shed with straight pathway along one side of the garden. The clients deal in Chinese antiques and so wanted an oriental theme to their new garden, with screening from overlooking houses and a feeling of enclosure. The central metal ball is a sculpture come fire pit feature which can be moved on and off the patio as required. The plants are all watered automatically via an irrigation system and mulched using a layer of attractive Scottish pebbles and as such the garden requires minimal ongoing maintenance.
